The building is quiet and inviting with an old peace to it. Enjoy the craftsmanship of the wood and stone work itself. And check in online every now and then to see what's new in their rotating show spaces.
Solid small history center. The ranch house exhibit was wonderful and really perfect for DeKalb County.
I was fortunate enough to get to visit their exhibit on 1950's Atlanta Ranch house architecture. It was such a gem of a show. Tons of info on the growth and changes in suburban Atlanta at the time and such fun photos, magazines, fixtures and entire room setups!
Well crafted displays covering a range of topics. Especially enjoyed the current exhibit on the cultural and architectural significant of post war ranch home building in Decatur.
